Louis Vuitton Wizard of Oz

Wizard of Oz is Virgil Abloh's Spring/Summer 2019 collection for Louis Vuitton, his debut as menswear artistic director. The pieces were produced for that season only and have never been remade.

Abloh used the Wizard of Oz as a metaphor for his own arrival in Paris as an outsider, running yellow brick road motifs and prismatic colour through varsity jackets, jacquard knits and graphic tees. It is the most referenced collection of his tenure.
